- 150g unsalted butter
- 200g dark chocolate
- 3 large eggs
- 200g caster sugar
- 75g plain flour
- 25g cocoa powder
- 150g Oreo cookies, roughly chopped
- 150g caramel sauce
- 100g milk chocolate, for topping
- 100g white chocolate, for topping
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 180C 160C fan
Grease and line a 9x9 inch square baking tin with parchment paper
Melt the butter and dark chocolate together in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water, stirring occasionally until smooth
Remove from the heat and set aside to cool slightly
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and caster sugar until pale and creamy
Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and fold together gently
Sift in the flour and cocoa powder, and fold until just combined
Fold in the chopped Oreo cookies
Pour half of the brownie mixture into the prepared tin and spread evenly
Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the brownie mixture
Pour the remaining brownie mixture over the caramel layer and spread evenly
Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce over the top
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the brownies are set but still slightly gooey in the middle
Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely in the tin
Melt the milk chocolate and white chocolate separately in heatproof bowls over pans of simmering water
Drizzle the melted chocolates over the cooled brownies in a decorative pattern
Allow the chocolate to set before slicing into squares
Serve and enjoy!
